Accounting services for manufacturers in Turkey

Manufacturing accounts depend on how materials move: raw material purchases, issues to production, work in progress, finished goods and the equipment that makes them. RelocationTR works with your SMMM accountant to set up that document flow, so that product cost, inventory and fixed assets can be explained to owners, banks and inspectors.

    Discuss the scope

    Typical situations

Owners of manufacturing companies usually come to us when:

    • A workshop or production line starts, but the books still only track purchases and sales.
    • Inventory records do not match physical stock, and the source of the discrepancy is unclear.
    • Product cost is estimated rather than calculated, so prices are not tested against margin.
    • New equipment or premises fit-out raises the question of what should be capitalised.
    • A subcontractor processes your materials, so stock leaves your warehouse but stays yours.

    Document flow

Every step in the material cycle should leave a record you can point to:

    • Purchasing: contract, supplier invoice, delivery note and customs papers for imports.
    • Receipt and storage: goods-received records, units of measure, storage locations.
    • Production: material requisitions, production orders, output and scrap reports.
    • Finished goods: transfer to stock, dispatch, e-waybill and customer invoice.
    • Equipment: commissioning record, asset register entry and useful life under the accounting policy.

    Accounting tasks

The scope is agreed according to production volume and the current state of the books.

    • Map the production cycle and the points where records are created.
    • Agree the inventory method and cost allocation approach with the accountant.
    • Separate direct materials, labour and production overheads.
    • Reconcile stores, work in progress and finished goods on a regular schedule.
    • Maintain the fixed asset register and separate capital from operating spend.

    Deliverables

Depending on the agreed scope, owners typically receive:

    • A production document map with a named owner for each step.
    • Periodic reporting on stock, output and cost by product or order.
    • A stock-variance list with causes and proposed corrections.
    • A fixed asset register reconciled with the ledger.

What we need to get started

A first discussion needs a description, not a full archive:

    • What you produce, from which inputs, in how many stages and product lines.
    • Who keeps the books now and in which software.
    • Latest stock balances and any stock count results.
    • A list of equipment and major purchases in the recent period.

    Who is responsible for what

Bookkeeping, tax accounting and the signing and filing of returns stay with the authorised SMMM accountant. RelocationTR coordinates processes, records and owner reporting. The company supplies production and warehouse data; records cannot be rebuilt without source documents.

    Not included

    Unless agreed separately:

    • ERP selection, implementation or configuration.
    • Engineering standards for material consumption.
    • Independent audit or an opinion on the financial statements.
    • Sector permits and product certification.

    Pricing factors

We do not publish fixed rates; the fee follows the workload.

    • Number of products, production stages and warehouses.
    • Monthly purchase and sales volume, including imports and exports.
    • Whether the books are current or past periods need rebuilding.
    • Headcount and the complexity of cost allocation.

    Frequently asked questions

Do we have to replace our current accountant?
No. We usually work alongside the existing accountant: we agree the production accounting method, records and deadlines, and they continue keeping the books and filing returns.
What if book stock does not match the warehouse?
Start with a stock count and trace where the difference arose: receipt, issue, output or dispatch. The accountant decides how entries are corrected based on the facts and documents.
Can we get cost per product straight away?
It depends on what consumption and time data you already record. Sometimes the source records need fixing first, and the costing detail follows.
