Payment solutions for businesses in Turkey: provider selection and onboarding
Companies need different payment tools: receiving B2B payments and converting currency, accepting cards online, or selling through a merchant of record. RelocationTR helps identify which type of solution fits and prepare onboarding with a provider. We do not provide payment services ourselves; the provider decides whether to onboard you.
Discuss the scopeB2B receiving, FX and payouts
Bank accounts and payment or fintech providers are used to collect from business customers, convert currency and pay contractors. Note that receiving details issued by a fintech provider are not necessarily a bank deposit account; funds may be held under different rules. Understand this before choosing.
- Describe where payments come from, in which currencies, and who you pay out to.
- Compare solution types against what matters for your model.
- Prepare a business description and documents for the provider's review.
Card acquiring and payment gateways
Accepting cards on a website or app requires a contract with an acquirer or gateway. The provider reviews the business, site, refund terms and risk. We help prepare these materials and align them with the accounts.
Merchant of record
Under a merchant-of-record model the provider, not your company, is the seller to the customer. This is not account opening but a different contractual arrangement with different accounting, tax and customer-liability consequences. Assess it with your accountant before signing up.
Checking a provider's status
In Turkey, payment services and electronic money are regulated by the Central Bank (CBRT). Check a provider's status in official sources at the time of selection. We do not publish lists of suitable providers, claim partnerships or promise terms or fees.

Frequently asked questions
- Are fintech receiving details a bank account?
- Not necessarily. Funds held by a payment or electronic money institution may be treated differently from a bank deposit. Check the provider's terms.
- How does merchant of record differ from acquiring?
- With acquiring your company sells and the provider processes the payment. With merchant of record the provider is the seller, which changes accounting, tax and liability.
- Do you guarantee onboarding?
- No. The provider decides after its review. We help prepare a clear business description and documents.
